[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's been a year and a few days since this photo was taken, my wife and I at the top of the trail in the Quiraing, on the Isle of Skye. Should I say that I'd like to be back there right now...

PP Notes:
- Cropped;
- Turned to B&W using Channel Mixer;
- Resized and framed

I have posted the original in a workshop

Enjoy!

The person was essiential to achieve the depth in this image. Nice job! B

Good work! A man with a great space, good B&W choice. Pierre, wouldn't you think to post a larger size...? I think the impression of the space would be greather. All the best

Piotr

Hi Pierre,
Must have been a stunning view. I like the composition making the person very small in this overwhelming landscape. I am quite quirious how the original looks.

excellent photo, Pierre, and very good titled..
congrats..
well done in everyway
v.

a breath-taking view! would have been more strikingly dazzling if shown in colours but i like it the way it was shown just the same... taken at f/8 aperture, it sure had a deep DOF! great...

very nice phtograph. And the B&W acually gives the idea of memories, past... And the angle you shot is just great! I like it a lot.

Take care, Stef

Hi Pierre,
Nice work. B&w...good choice seems to really freeze time does it not? Good composition. And, is interesting how the land where your wife is standing appears to be so square (particularily after the crop) in relation to the smooth roundness to everything else.
Well done.
Richard

Beautiful view. I can see why you'd want to return. Great composition and your wife standing there makes the scene very interesting. Nice work.

Would hate to get too close to the cliff !...Great photo.. but would like to see it in colour also..
Regards Dawn.

Well, Pierre, this is going into my favourites... The B&W, the composition, the border, they all add to the same feeling which I adore in this picture.
Thanks for sharing!

Joli travail
Toni

Fiew! The way you present your picture i was shure you would present a tragedy... The view is so impressive! I can resume by WOW!! Look like the top of the world :o)

ohh !!
Très impressionnant ! J'aime beaucoup ici le dépouillement de la scène, sa simplicité. C'est une image forte.

What a lovely 'minimalistic' composition...after looking at your original, I guess it couldn't be made more perfect than it is now. Regards, Maria

Beautiful Pierre!
The b&w works very well here adding this memory feeling to the shot. The perspective is really good, with that deep valley in the background, making the human silhouette to be so small!!
Well done
Marisa

This is wonderful. I really like the sense of realizing how small we are in the larger world - yet our eyes go straight to the lone figure. We are important, no matter how small we may be in the grand scheme of things. :)

Beautiful. TFS!

Un an déjà et le souvenir reste intact … Grâce à cette photographie de cet espace infiniment magique, comme notre planète Terre en cache à tous les coins de sa sphère.
Merci pour le partage.
Antonio

Just fantastic ! :)
aren´t we so small in front of Mother Earth ?! ;))

All the elements of the photo work extremely well together Pierre. That's the trouble with being one of the last to comment - all the superlatives have already been used! A great shot.

Tres belle photo Pierre, beaucoup de cachet. Tres bon choix le noir et blanc.

Hello Pierre! Wonderful timeless shot, most effective in B&W. Marvellously composed, and love the way the white of your wife's shirt is repeated by the reflection of the tarns. I'd love to be there now, too! Well done! Thanks! Linda

this is fanastic! I peeked at your workshop too and I really like what you've done to it.

An excellent composition although good in colour, far more effective in B/W. Really breathtaking view .....has a very humbling effect too...
TFS

Impressive scenery. Once again the woman is essential for a good sense of perspective and to make all the foreground worthwile. Imagining the picture without the woman, I see an unbalanced image, with way less appeal.

I hate using 'wow' to describe the reaction when seeing a good shot, but this time it seems unavoidable. What a stunning scenery and good use of the person to bring out the proportions of wide space. I was about to nag about this-and-that, but the more I look at it the more I realize I wouldn't change a thing. Really nice work.

Alban

Hi Pierre, great B/N landscape. Bravo.

Salut Pierre,
Trés belle photo bravo.

Steph.

Hello,
Just to add to the chorus of approval. This picture has 'that something'. The inexplicable content/feeling that moves people. The sense of space is wonderful, and the body of water that subtly balances the brightest parts of the composition.

Best wishes, Martin
