Hi Dean

Nice landscape shot of the Cumbrian countryside.
Like your composition and low POV with the rocks in the foreground.
What focal length was this taken at?

Hi Dean,
based on your intro, I'd say that even if there were no points system here, you definitely deserved points for this. :)
I guess the light was not really good on that day but you've chosen a good pov and gave it afterwards a good pp - that part could be more detailed though.
Regards,
Attila

Hello Dean

Yip glad you looked a second time.. Nicely composed and well balanced. Good sharp detail throughout I love the contrast between the greying skies and the green grasses. Nice neat framing compliments the shot well without being overstated.

TFS regards Helen

Nice landscape Dean - great light and control of exposure....

Glad to hear the place called 'Cumberland' again..

Hi Dean,
I need more money and more vacation days. Your photos have certainly put the lake district higher up my list of places to visit.
I am looking at this photo from a bad monitor, so I have to be careful about what I write. I do feel that the bright parts on the richt rock are a bit too bright. They sort of hold my eyes and don't allow my eyes to move further into the photo. That said, I do like the v-shape of the rock formation and the repetition of the shape by the by the two hills.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Dean. I was immediately struck by the wide angle view that leads the eye into the distance. The convergence of many lines at the horizon works well. TFS. Karin

hi dean.
i really enjoy looking at this image.
it brings back memories of days out walking. many's the time i have sat on rocks like these, flak in one hand and a cheese sandwich in the other.
and, like this pic, i would survey all before me.

your pov is powerful and leads the eye into the rolling hills and to the overcast sky..

it pays to take a second look, sometimes.
Brian
