Hello Trekkers! This in one of the few hundred pix I made in my trip to Scotland.
The Eilean Donan Castle!
It is said to be one of the most photographed castle in Scotland! Well, you decide! Luckily the weather was so gracious and the clouds were breaking up as we arrived!:)I was stunned by the view! I hope you'll be too! :))

cheers

PS: a little playing with levels on different layers!

Hello ToM
Kia ora to you . . I haven't seen you for along time - how are you?
So Scotland is where you've been visiting lately? I have heard of the most famous Eilean Donan Castle - but never got to see it myself when we were over there.
You were lucky with the gap in the clouds here, as the castle is very well positioned in it.
And I love how the castle is lit up too. What an awesome scene, quite eye-catching and well composed.
BRAVO!
Janice

hi Tom
a excellent shot of the most photographed castle aprt from the Edinburgh one in Scotland you have captured it very well and it looks great well presented regards bryan

Hi Tom,
Beautiful light,excelent photo,congratulation.
Best regards,
Ralf

Hello Tom,

My first impression is how well this shot is composed. The castle seems to be sandwiched between two different textures of darkness!
The break in the clouds not only lights the castle but also creates a n attractive reflection in the water.

Mmm, I could imagine the macabre story of McBeth taking place here!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

spectacular picture!

Lovely moody shot Tom, nice control of the lighting.

regards Mark :)

Salut Tom,

Hello Tom,
Beautiful light and atmosphere in this photo!
even that little will'-the wisp at the right side of the castle makes it mysterious.
