Barmouth Bridge

This bridge mostly of wooden construction, was built in 1867, and takes a single track railway line across the mouth of the estuary of the River Mawddach. Trains still run regularly across the bridge.

Alongside the track is a pedestrian walkway and cycle path, from which this photograph was taken.

The bridge and estuary show up extremely well in Google Earth. See Map:[view]

Taken as JPEG: PP in PS 7..

Hello Peter,a good perspective looking along the bridge. The fencing to either side of the bridge adds to the graphics.
Crystal sharp.I like the view of the hill and houses in the far distance.
Posting in b&w seems to accentuate the clean lines.
Tfs, regards Jean.

regards
Ryszard

Hello Peter,

You have used the parallel lines to effectively, to give a good sense of perspective and take the eyes right into the shot. There are many examples of parallels, depending on where you concentrate.
The little cottages in the distance give a pleasing focal point.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

details and texture are well done.
this bridge really looks long.
well presented, TFS.

Hi Peter,

That is a good answer to the theme. We can see plenty of // lines in it. Good shaprness, good exposure with details even in the bright sky. Nice shot and TFS.
