A shot of a Cabbage White butterfly feeding on the nectar of this small flower,a very common butterfly. This one is a male as it has just one spot on each wing.
The caterpillars of this butterfly are very destructive and a main pest to gardeners.
Photo cropped and used USM at 30% in photoshop.
ISO 160 |

Exceptionally good sharpness, Andy, and thanks for the interesting note.
I loved this shot!
Une bien jolie prise de vue Andy. Difficile à réaliser. Une réussite totale.
Les couleurs sont parfaites et mettent en valeur le sujet principal.
Très bien.
A beautifully and perfectly executed macro shot Andy. The clarity, detail and sharpness of this shot is really great. Once again the controlled DoF in this image is what really adds the impact and beauty.
Compliments on a very well captured image.
