Just to keep up the Border Piper theme. This is a picture I took back in the early 80s of Archie Anderson the Pipe Major of the Stow Pipe Band.

Hope it brings back some memories.

Hi Peter,

Great portrait that is something you don't see much pipers with a busby now adays. I think it would have been a very good colour shot nice sharp details in the fg well done.

Regards
Jon

Picture converted very well from film. Very striking in B&W. It would have been good to see a colour one. Good job. TFS
warm regards
David

Hi,
There's a weel kent face! Great detail in the b/w presentation, just clipped the drone but no worries, I'm sure he'd be pleased with that one! Thanks,
Dougie.

hi Peter
the pipes are realy calling this week nice to see a picture of a lone piper like this one a lot tfs
regards bryan

Ach, Peter, he's a wee beauty!
The detail is really sharp with good contrasts in the in the light and dark.
I particularly like the details of his facial expression and the hand movement.

What a pity you clipped the end of one of the pipes. Still, with film, you couldn't check whether the shot needed to be retaken.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

This looks great in Black and white and is really great quality especially with being scanned from film, quality camera though.

Nice

Excellent portrait photography. Nice Black & White conversion.
