Hi Bryan, the lone tree stands strong and tall - well captured, and maybe would look even better if it wasn't so centred.
I'm noT sure about the added fog - it looks a bit unreal.
But the colours and using clarify does give a moody look to the scene

Hi bryan i think the fog would look better if you restricted it to the top of the picture where it could be confused with rain clouds. It doesnt look as realistic nearer the ground. Nice effort at creating an atmospheric shot though. I like the wy the wall and countryside form a triangle.

Hi Bryan - I think I possibly prefer the original, but thanks for posting both for comparison. I also think some b/w treatment may have added impact.

But, that aside, I think you picked a great subject - I saw this tree and thought it looked good, but did nothing with it - so I'm glad you did :-) The pp work here almost makes this look like a painting, very interesting effect and I like the line of the dyke splitting the image.

Beautiful 'painting' of the very beautiful tree. I like the lines and DOF. Well composed. Maybe a bit to much PP work on the sky (to black), but the other parts look great.
