Purschased a new tripod a month ago so thought i would try a HDR with it i have always like this churchyard in a village about 6miles from my home town of Selkirk i took 3 shots and used Artizen HDR prog to merge i dont usually do HDR shots so thought i would try it makes a difference having a sturdy tripod as my other one was as much good as a ashtray on a motorbike for this kind of work i have left a not about the village

Lilliesleaf is a small village in the Scottish Borders, 7 miles south-east of Selkirk. The village currently has a population of around 300.

Lilliesleaf currently has 2 pubs: The Cross Keys and The Plough. There is also a cafe named "The Jammy Coo" which sells food, drinks, paintings and jewelery. Lilliesleaf has a primary school and one functioning church. There is no regular public transport in Lilliesleaf. It has no shops, but used to have a hardware shop, post office and a grocer, all of which closed down in the 1990s.

To the north of Lilliesleaf is the river Ale which runs east to west. The wetland named "The Moss" is to the south of Lilliesleaf
i added border a did a slight clarify and hps alsodone a little tone mapping for thie first time before uploading ty once again for looking

Hi Bryan
Wonderful job
Great place and note
Take care
Burak

Hi Bryan,

This a lovely hdr shot the colours are brilliant and details are very sharp indeed. Where you have fallen down is the halo effect round the tops of the trees which can be caused by the hdr merge or to much clarify imo.

Regards
Jon

HI Bryan
I get the impression that the famous light you see when you die is present as everything is bright and fading. That lead in tomb is a real oldie.
You might have oversharped a bit as you got halos around your tree tops, but on the other hand it fits in well with the scene. Good job

Hi Bryan,

Beautiful shot and PP work.
Crisp and sharp image. Great HDR...

Ramon

Great first HDR Bryan, really good detail and excellent composition.

To my old eyes it appears slightly over exposed though

Hello Bryan, they say a well taken HDR is one that is hard to tell that the image is a HDR & IMHO you nailed this one in that respect,Great 1st.attempt. I really like your composition & your angle for taking this shot resulted in a strong image. That large gravestone in the foreground keeps our attention focused at the churchyard.I really like those shadows across the grass,I may have darkened the whole scene slightly , but that's just my taste, also a tad less sharpening could have helped, but as you say , this is your first attempt @ HDR & it certainly is better than my first attemp.I also think you'll see a difference to your details by using your new Tripod.Well done.

It looks like a very nice litle church and you had a nice day to take your shot. I havent experimented with hdr yet but you seem to do it very well. Nice job
warm regards
David

Hello Bryan
Very nice use of HDR, it can be overdone sometimes. The angle of the gravestones makes for a good perspective. Sound like a very nice place.
