[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Benderloch is located in Argyll and Bute, on the north east shore of Ardmucknish Bay.This church is Church of Scotland and is a neat, stone-built kirk with a pre-fab separate hall behind it. St Modan lived in the 8th century, and was a saint of the Celtic Church in Argyll but particularly associated with Ardchattan. The original name for the parish is Balmhaodan (the town of Saint Modan)It is part of highland parish on the shores of a sea-loch. The village of Benderloch has one general shop, open seven days a week from early till late, a camping/sports shop and a primary school. There is no pub. There are daily buses to Oban, the nearest town. There are several camping sites and a sandy beach nearby. It's a beautiful, majestic area.

Again this shot was taken with Pentax K1000 using slide film and scanned to computer where it was eventually uploaded to TL.

Hi David,

Another from your trek over Scotland the church looks to be made from whin stone and sand stone for around the doors and windows. The colours are very nice and the details sharp but more notes please, well done.

Regards
Jon

hi David

1985? That is quite a while back and you were already good in composition of this impressive architecture of church. Good scan quality from your slide, retaining nice sharpness and texture, color detail.

Good work.

Hi David,
Another interesting shot from decades ago. The quality is really good regarding the age of the shot, the sky is a bit overexposed, but sharpness is good and this church is beautiful. Good job, TFS!
Best regards,
Kristof
