[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I noticed this old fire engine rusting away in a field in the town of Shaniko Oregon,I took a larger image of it as well as this smaller one.The real attreaction was the old baseball next to it's steering wheel,it wan't until I blew it up to full size that I saw there was a fly resting on top of it,hence the title "Fly Ball" hope its visible in TL size.Used Topaz to give a little more saturation & detail.Sorry I entered UK rather than United States for Country.
State should be Oregon, town was Shaniko,

Ron

Hi Ron,

Really good close-up of this fire truck the fly is perfectly visible on the ball. The deterioration of this truck is clearly visible you have captured the details perfectly well done.

Regards
Jon

OH WOW!! Great job!! I love this, the colors and detail are superb! TFS

Ronald I wish Oregon was in Derbyshire, certainly make it easier to visit.

Cracking image you have here love the crop and the pp work really works well.

Hi Ron
This was really well seen. I wondered about our trip to England Ha! Ha! I did not think of combining the baseball with the firetruck. It looks like another filter has been applied to create a sketch-like effect or is that done in Topaz as well?
Phil

Aye Ron,
I know you are partial to that side of the world, but Shaniko? What's Up? I like the effect with the filter as it does give more detail and allows the image to take on a whole different look and feel, something like we would see with the 40's and 50's paintings here in the States.
Great Work,
Steve

Hello Ronald, I like the crop here;the truck is still recognisable as such but made more interesting by the cut.
The dusty, rusty appearance and the faded lettering make for a good picture imo.
Tfs, regards Jean.
