Stonehenge needs no introduction to this group, so this is more of a personal note...
This is what it looks like looking in to the monument from one of the sheep fields.
It's back to old England and after India, it feels like I really do have historic roots here. There's a guest visiting from Japan already waiting in my flat that I'm glad to see. We get along very well and share an interest in history, travel, photography and the odd artefact now and then. He was hoping to see Stonehenge, so I made it my chance to see more of the landscape including two other marvels, the circle at Avebury and Woodhenge. |
