Hello Beverley,
Congratulations for taming the exposure of this red rose. I find reds difficult to expose but you managed it quite well. The side profiling is a good decision as I see fine details and symmetry. I salute you for not using pesticides...and that may be hard considering the roses around here are profusely infested by aphids, mealybugs, and rust diseases. I wish you a good weekend, time to go back to watching the two Andys slug it out at Wimbledon's gentlemen semifinal match.

Hi Beverley,a great presentation of the rose.You have done some careful PP work so that the lovely colours have a bg of black, and the blurred green bg,beautiful.
The rose is in perfect focus, and the light really shows the flower at its best.

Hey Beverley,

This is a wonderful image of your rose. You are to be commended on your intimate care for this flower.

The colors are great here and you have really set the pink rose off from its green background. A little more diffused light from a later sun might make the rose a more evenly lit. That said, it's not too bad.

I'm not a fan of this border treatment, though. I think the "subject-popping" frame looks kitschy and is going to look quite dated here in a little bit. You've done a good job at it, I just don't care for it myself.
