Hello everyone,a view today from the edge of the train station at Saltash looking towards 'one of the greatest bridges in the world.'
This is Isambard Kingdom Brunel's famous Royal Albert Bridge. It was completed in 1859,and is unique in design, unequalled in engineering and graceful in appearance.

At the side we have the Tamar Road Bridge, opened in 1961.Good views of Brunels bridge can be obtained from the road bridge, as there is a walkway on this bridge.

Thanks for looking.

Hello Jean,
A mad photo. Large composition owing to you. Excellent one sharp details with good observation. Very interesting and profsional composition.
Best regards.

Hello Jean, my neighbour today,

This is a lesson in composition and perspective.
I love how you have composed the shot to have the railway line emerging from one corner and the wall emerging from the opposite one. Then with a gentle cuve, which is a great leading line, they disappear just off centre, leaving the eliptical structure of the bridge in view.
The only improvement that I could suggest would be a lovely sky, which sadly, is beyond your control!

Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

You've chosen a great pov with the tracks leading us in. A beautiful and interesting bridge and very nice detail. Good note as well. TFS

Very nice composition and timing. Excellent pov. Good job
warm regards
David

Hi Jean
The tracks provide a great leading line to the bridge. It is a fascinating design and looks like it could have been built last year. It must have been extremely controversial in its day.
