[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken from one of the capsules of the London Eye, the big Ferris Wheel on the embankment of the river Thames.

I was fascinated by the architecture of the station in the foreground and all those buildings bathed in light. And I loved the colours of the sky, all purple and rose and blue.

During PP I reduced brightness and adjusted contrasts. Now the lower left corner and the trees on the opposite embankment down in the right part beside that bridge are a bit too dark. But I didn't find a different way of cropping or a different level of brightness-reduction that showed a good result on all other parts of the image. Ah, I forgot to tell that I reduced some noise, too, and cropped a bit of the sky before I added the frame and the smaller black border.

Good to see a shot from inside the Eye for a change. I know the Eye goes round very slowly, but this is nice and sharp for 1/3.

HI Britta,
ganz schön was los, da unten. Da hast du aber genau die ideale Tageszeit erwischt. Viele Lichter schon an und noch hell genug, um den Himmel zu sehen. Ich könnte in so einem Molloch nicht leben. Das wär definitv zuviel für mich. Aber anzuschauen ist es auf einer so gut gemachten Aufnahme schon interessant. Danke fürs teilen.
