Hello, Bev.

And I thought that Cinderella only had two ugly sisters, not three.

But this is a very fine close-up shot (not really a macro as that means the image on the film/sensor is the same size or bigger than the object), very clear and sharp and with wonderful colours. I presume that you used a nice clean sheet of white paper and a single lamp to illuminate it?

It reminds me of Ronnie Barker's ditty "Dyslexic Cinderella" in which the suject is called "Rindercella" and she had two "sugly isters". Despite the fact that it contains numerous quite profane innuendoes, it was broadcast on BBC in the late 60's or early 70's and not a single complaint was received. That man was a genius. If you've not heard it, I can email it to you!

By the way, did you grow these yourself?

Best Wishes,

John.

Hi Bev,
I like the humour of your title!
Well, mine are still green, I have just one or two which are red! So, today I made my green ketchup, and dill pickles!
Great clarity and brightness on the "sisters"! I like the shades on the white and effective background.
Bravo! Annie

Hi Bev,

Your title is absolutely priceless! I'm am sitting here giggling. Great still life with the tomatoes. I like the shadows cast on the white background. Interesting variations on the stages of a tomato. :) Now, how to negotiate the shipping of a few to my home! :) Lisa
