Hello, Bev.
This is a beauty! Not being a great horticulturist, I've never actually heard of Verbena but the colours here are lovely and subtle and that bee is nice and sharp with good details. A very nice bokeh too, with a lovely soft background.
That 60mm Macro lens is a real smasher but I still find considerable difficulty in taking shots anywhere near as good as this. It does focus fast but I find it sometimes "hunts" when trying to focus on something close like this when used hand-held. Did you use just the normal focus or the Servo setting? And how many shots did you rattle off before getting this fine result?
Excellent!
Best Wishes,
John.
Hello Bev,
A fine composition with the verbena emerging b/l/h corner on a diagonal line, leading straight to the focal bee. The main images are precise and sharp standing against a well judged, unobtrusive b/g.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hi Bev,
What a great macro capture of the bumblebee, working hard on the lovely purple flowers!
Superb clarity and wonderful contrast to the flowers, make this bee a very eyecatching subject in the picture. I like the harmony of colors and above all, the crisp sharpness and a well chosen POV. The shallow DOF works very well for this shot. I like the eyes of the bumblebee. Wonderful composition!
Thank you for your excellent shot.
Have a nice Sunday,
Paras
Oh, Bev,
what a GREAT macro. I love the diagonal line of the flower stem and the detail in the bee is phenomenal. Lovely light, perfect DOF, and wonderful natural looking color. That is SUCH a cool shot! Many thanks and warmest wishes,
Shelly
Hello Bev,a lovely shot with beautiful colours.
I like the sharpness of the bee and parts of the flower contrasting with the very blurred bg.
Well presented, the frame seems to fit very well imo.
Tfs, regards Jean.
