Whenever we walk near the harbour I am always on the lookout for some interesting reflections, and this shot caught my eye with the swan swimming gracefully across the water.

This is Sutton Harbour, beside the Barbican in Plymouth.
There are always boats of varying sizes coming and going and there's plenty to see.

Thanks for looking.

PP:reduced exposure-10,added contrast+25,added saturation+5,adjusted midtone level to 0.95,added narrow border, applied unsharp mask, and resized for posting.

Attractive work, Jean! I've always enjoyed reflections in the water and masts such as these, in particular. But I also really like the way you have the swan clear and sharp as it swims into the scene and the undistorted symmetry of the swan's reflection. Nicely seen and presented!

Regards,
Jim

Hi Jean
Smart bird, he is swimming in a straight line and not interlacing what looks like a slalom descent.
Great reflection and interesting shot.

Good reflexion!

Really nice shot Jean. I love the wavy lines of the reflected masts in the water, and also the variation of different blues in the water. Beautiful. The swan is perfectly placed within the shot too .. it seems to be just a little over exposed though. Still, a great shot.

dear Jean,
an artistic picture of a beautiful scene on the water,
this clear white swan looks swimming in the illusionary space in the air.
swinging curved reflections of masts are magical lines that induce the swan and us to the another fantastic world,
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Jean!
Beautiful picture.
Superb lighting and sharpness. Wonderful colours and reflections.
Congratulations.
Ciao! Vanda

What a lovely reflection, a perfect swan and a perfect swan's reflection even to the drops of water from its beak, and then there are the rippled masts for a textured contrast. You certainly were living right to find this composition!

Lois

hello Jean,
a really nice and arty shot.A nicely balanced composition.Pity about the over exposure of the swan but its nice reflection compensates as it doesn't reflect the the oe. Actually, on second thoughts, the oe adds to the composition as it gives it a graphic feel.
