Yep, wearing the popies to remember a good English tradition!
You remember these victims of war with a wonderful picture. The bright orange, the perfect sharpness are all excellent even like the hover fly you captured which is a nice detail.

Great lighting on these fabulous orange flowers with a bonus visitor on the sharpest flower!
Great use of shallow DOF and a nice play with shadows.
I love the square format, but I would eliminate the left thicker margin!...it's only my humble openion!

wow, beautiful shot Bev... that leading poppy and bee are perfectly sharp. Love the little shadow inside the poppy also. Really nicely composed shot, and the DOF is lovely.
We don't have Rememberance Sunday here, but do celebrate Rememberance Day on Nov. 11th also.

The equivalent of Remembrance Day in the U.S. is Veteran's Day which we will celebrate tomorrow for this year. A very fine tribute. The paper-like feature and texture of the poppies are evident. A superb sharpness you have achieved and the hover fly provides extra 'ooomph' appeal. My regards.
