Nice shot Dave, very dreamy. I might have cloned out a few of the high spots of colour after scanning, excellent mood though. Paul.

Hi Dave, welcome to TL, I like your shot very much,it seems a painting. I like the colours very much. I've created a new theme called "poppies" becouse I've seen many of them in the last days in TL, so I'll include this one if you don't mind. This will be the inauguration.
regards
Aran

Hi Dave
Another very good shot of poppies.
But i must confess that, even if this one is as high quality as the other, the other is more striking. more powerful... But this is also great.Very nice colours and good use of DOF.
Well done!

take care, Stef

This is a nice and sweet composition Dave. I like the grain it has.

It reminds me of a funeral poem which I am sure you know. I'll post it below.

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Hi Dave!
