I took this at a flower box near the Thames River between London and Tower bridge. I made the depth of focus such so that the blue flowers in the background acutally become a blue background.

Very attractive photo. The colors complement each other very nicely. The DOF is managed skilfully as well. I like it a lot!

Thomas - this is a great picture. A combination of colors is amazing.

NIce try, though the backgroundis too dark itself with disturbing dark areas. Green parts of the flower are too dark also. Very good sharpness in center of yellow flower, DOF almost ok (could be a little wider) TFS!

Excellent macro of this lovely flower. Great controlled depth of field. Well done for your skills. The colours are great contrasting colours.

This is a very nice composition, the yellow and the blue background work very well together! Perfect DOF... By the way, did you pass this through auto level in PS? When I do that with yellow flowers, I usually end up with a background like yours even if the real colour is deep green..! Nice job!

This one I did not see yet, till now. I really like the colours. I always like blue and yellow (and green and yellow of course, that's are the colours of my city). Very nice picture. Well done.

I see yellow then the blue, then color overload! Great DOF! The yellow and blurred blue background creates a soothing yet an exciting environment.
