[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took Frank Prufer's advice and lightened the photo, sharpened it a little, adjusted shadows and highlights a little and reposted it, thanks Frank.

It's official, it is not a bee, it is a "hoverfly", and Frank let me know that it was elected "Insect of the Year" in 2004 in Germany. ;-)
He also geve me this nice link that the second photo down looks just like mine to prove it. Thanks again Frank. :-)

I like the final version much more and the adjustments you made improved the photo a great deal.
Just out of interest, are you (or Frank) sure that this is a fly and not a bee? I posted an image in TrekNature of what I believed to be a bee with a fly on a yellow flower. The point being is that my "bee" is very similar to yours which leads me to believe that in my image there are actually 2 flies together.
