I took this of my wife when we went to lunch at a famous Japanese restaurant in London called Nobu (http://www.myriadrestaurantgroup.com/nobulondon/). We both like 1950's stuff, and she has some 1950's vintage dresses, such as this one. I hope she starts wearing them more.
I took this on my small Olympus Mju 400 that I carry around sometimes when I don't feel like carrying the heavier Canon 10D. It's not a high res camera, but I can it's photos up some in PP. I used the clone tool to clean up some of the flyaway hair (static electricity), and the soft filter since I felt it fit the mood, as well as saturation. |

Very nice mood you captured here. The light and the soft texture (filter) creates a pleasant atmosphere. I like it Tom!

Nice portrait, I like the way the colour of the dress matches the one on wall and flower, but I am not sure about the soft filter - but I am in general not a fan of that...
Why don't you post the unsoftened version as a workshop, for comparison?

Thomas, her green dress and the green Ikebana are both beautiful. A nice capture without using your flash.
Hi Tom,
I like the softness here, it fits your wife and the different green tones make this one a nice capture! Normally I don't fancy posed pictures that much, but this one is cute and obviously done with affection since you make her look so good - Very nice!
