I took this on the way to Kew Gardens. It was just a Japanese Maple tree in the front yard of a house on the street going there. I liked how the leaves overlapped like a carpet and also it reminded me of my years living in Japan in the past.

Hi Tom,
I like your DOF here, effective in forcing our focus too on the details in the leaves! And memories are always sweet (most of the time)... I didn't try, but maybe I'd crop some in the top? I feel like that greyish spot is a tad too big... Nice capture anyway -
Regards,
Pablo

Tom, While I really like this photo (the shallow DOF is nice, the leaves themselves, too), I find that my eyes focus more on the grey/bluish spot rather than the leaves...
Still, this is a nice photo and quite an interesting one...
Frank

What a beautifully captured shot. very very nice angle and colours. I like the sharpness and the fading in the background, too. Well done!
