| I took this Victoria Sponge Cake at the Spital Fields City Farm Annual Horticultural Show (see more details on it in my post yesterday). It's no wonder this cake got 1st proze in its division, eh? After the show, they auctioned off a lot of the items, but I was helping moving things out so I missed my chance to bid for this one. :-( |

Hello Thomas. This is certainly a very appealing image... and not a good one to look at if you're on a diet! What I mean here is that I think you've been very successful with this shot, bringing out the textures of the cake and jam filling very nicely . Very interestingly composed and good use of selective focus.
Hi Tom,
Another good food picture! Effective composition and well chosen DOF make the cake look delicious, that is important for this kind of picures (sorry to hear you missed your chance to taste the goodies) -
Regards,
Pablo
Hi Thomas.
Vey yummmy shot ;)
Congrats on the prize!
take care, Stef
run out of goodies, so here's a smile for you :)))
Mmmmm, yummmmy ;))
To be honest, I'm not a fan of cakes but i have to say that this one (especially the fine details of the jam pits) looks really inviting to take a bite.
What a creation, even the sprinkling of the icing on the plate..
Now, about the image: sharp, great BG, good compositon. My mark? definately 1st
Shelly :)
I love cake...Please give me just one piece.
