Water attracts and fascinates, especially the constant movement in a city fountain. People gather round and stare. What do they see?

This is my meditation on water. This fountain in Millenium Square in Leeds is quite intricate and ingenious.

Technique: 1/30 sec shutter speed, f22 to blur the water and get as much DOF as I could but still be able to handhold the camera.

All of the best,
Paul

tres jolie compositionµ. j'aime beaucoup les mouvements de l'eau

You have the most creative ideas from the ordinary. You are right water is amazingly powerful. If it is calm or stormy there is always a rythm. It always intriques. I can feel the rythm of the water in your photo.

Hi Paul

I like the blue monochromatic color, & repetition of the nozzles & spray. Good work!

Hey Paul,
I really enjoy the abstraction the water makes with your camera settings. The blue almost moonlight tonal range on the image is moody and somewhat muted which is interesting.
Works quite well for artwork.
This may seem like the student calling out the master but setting this image in portrait mode I think would be very nice. 90degrees Clockwise or 90degrees CCW.
Anyway, I really like the water motion against the piping in the background.

Hi Paul,
I see lines of silk in this image. All the metal tubes seems like holders were fine threads od silk are being twisted around. Very cool effect.
Or maybe cotton candy...
This blue is just wonderful (well, it's my fav. colour ;)) and this tones are just amazing.
Very nice experiment.

Take care, Stef
