A lake near my home

I could never see the point of this jetty (this picture was taken from a very low bridge a few meters away). Anyway the bridge provides a good point of view without disturbing the water; thus the reflections!

Original in colour, sharpened, contrast adjusted slightly

Hi Bill,

brilliant shot the reflection looks fantastic, so sharp :)

B+W works well good contrast

TFS Kruger

I love the image, however I think the ripples in the water got destroyed a little by oversharpening. Try making two layers, and removing the sharpening from the water.. and I think it would look AMAZING.

Hey Bill,

Really well done on the shot, I was looking at the thumbnail and couldn't figure out what it was. Which is quite good since it has us wondering, and so we check it out! :) It looks really nice, the black and white gives that impression of longing. I love the dark shapes in the water made by the trees, it's really nice! The best part of the shot is the walkway leading to the gate... looks great!

Biance.

Black and white ... well.. but this Bill is a good example how the use of B?W surves a pupose well!! Excellen sharpness and reflexion! TFS from Montreal Canada
