[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was shortly we returned from Honeymoon... before we realised the scale of the work ahead of us in getting the US. Neither of us was working and we were just kicking about in my parents' back garden. I had put a red filter on my camera and simply desaturated the Raw image.

I just found a whole bunch of plug-ins and scripts for Gimp and I particularly like this one. Midnight Sepia. As well as the coloration, it also slightly softens the image and seems to increase contrast. I like the effect.

Very nice portrait, I lke the soft foucus and contrasts. Toning is suberb, also!
Cheers!

very soft portrait. you could have sharpened the eyes a bit and put some catch light. maybe i'm wrong too and this is really the effect you had intended. anyway, it's still a good portraiture. Is this your wife ? if it is you surely have a good taste of beauty.

Just all right, well done. Interesting pose, as face expression too. Nice background, contrasting in shape.
