my 3rd post from betws-y-coed and the river llugwy. after the daytime shot and then the one at dusk, now we have the nocturnal shot.
this is taken pointing the other way from the other two shots, and about 10 metres downstream. you can see the silhouette of the pont-y-pair (the bridge of the cauldron) bridge, and a couple of the shops and houses of the town.
pont-y-pair bridge was built in 1468 immediately below a particularly vigorous section of the river, when it rains heavily this part of the river becomes a raging torrent, hence the name of the bridge.
this was a pretty difficult shot to get, i was moving around on wet, slippery and almost completely unlit rocks with water flowing rapidly around me, worth it though.
30 seconds at f 9.0, iso 100, 31mm.
framed, resized, slight sharpen. |

Terrific night shot Sean, great reflections and lighting.
Peter
Great shot Sean, I like it. I guess your looking towards the old "climber and rambler" shop here from what I can remember? I love the soft effect you have created here. Well done
John
