A picture of my sister's cat. Its fur is extremely soft and i have tryed to portray this by giving the picture a slightly out of focus look and smudging the background. what do you think? :-)

a beautiful photo,
good color

Hello Ron, this is a nice close-up of your sister's cat and she has such a profond look, I love the tone of the photo which brings a nice mood that complements her inquisitive eyes.

But I would prefer a in-focus photo imho :) I like the bg treatment.

But nicely done.

Take care, Yan

What a cute fluffy cat. I like the idea of the soft focus idea, but I think if you had kept the eyes in focus it would be better. Duplicated the background layer and blur it, then on the top layer, use eraser brush over the eyes (remember to turn off the background layer first so you can see where the eraser is being used.) This is only my preference. You may like it your way.

I think you nailed it. I don't really like cat pictures (I have an alergy), but this is really well done. You have definitely conveyed the softness and created a great POV.
