[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
When recently out for a walk along the Shropshire Union canal where it runs through Middlewich, a group of three ducklings and their mother came leaping out of the canalside trees and went splashing into the canal. At the time I was concentrating on taking a shot of the canal itself and they startled me so much with the commotion that I nearly dropped my camera. Anyway, they came swimming up to us on the opposite side of the canal, then calmly got out and up onto the towpath where they sat preening themselves for a good while. It was very difficult to get a good shot but I think this one is the cutest, even though I chopped off a tiny bit of the foot.
Zoom full out, hand held, around 7pm. Photo cropped top and right.
