A cold day but the sun was shining, some stunning countryside around the Borders and this is a scene facing Peel near Clovenfords. A lovely autumnal day. A little burning here to bring out the cloud detail.

Very nice moody autumnal shot Peter. The clouds are very prominent as I suppose you intended, and make the shot. TFS, Paul.

Hi Peter,
Maybe cold... but beautiful still! An amazing composition with the rolling hills and the branches up front... Autumn colours are very well captured, and the angle of lighting adds excitement... Again, beautiful!

Looks like it was a lovely day around the Borders today, Peter.

Very nice countryside picture, Peter.
Good autumncolours and great composition.
You did well on the clouds.
Groet,
Joop.

Nice crisp shot Peter. I like the tall shadows created by the low sun angle. Great contrasts.
Bravo!

Beautiful light in this one, Peter. I like how the diagonal lines of the mountains are creating a V behind the tree. The clouds add a dramatic mood to it. Well done!

How beautiful!! The landscape is so lovely clothed in its new Autumn wardrobe. I can just feel and smell the crisp air. This is a wonderfully executed landscape portrait - very focused and detailed. Thanks for whisking me away momentarily to this lovely place.

Some fine scenery on view - the colours and POV are spot on :)

Beautiful Image Peter. Colours are so soft that it looks like an ilustration form fairy tale book. POV is great and everything is very dreamlike.

Well done!!!

take care, Stef :))

out of greens, so here's a big smile for you :)))))))))))))

Beautiful picture Peter, a lovely scenery. It is cold here too Peter, tonight it will be below zero for few days coming.
Have a nice evening.

Hi Peter

A wonderful landscape, with superb sharpness, lighting, & graphism. I like the framing branches at right. Good work!

I don't know what you mean by burning, but it certainly did the trick. I have rarely seen such paintlike shapness and detail - even on the distant hills. And the branch in front is an absolute must to add the necessary depth. I could have wished for just a little more at the bottom to see where that tree with the white trunk touches the ground.

Wow Peter, this is a stunning landscape... which you captured with a great compo. I love seeing bare branches against a contrasting sky, and I see plenty here ;o). Nice colour saturation too. I'd consider cloning out the pole in the left lower part though. TFS.

Hi Peter,
This is a very beautiful landscape, I like this composition with this empty tree in the front creating the perspective. The colors and clarity are excellent. TFS
