This robin let me get really close this morning. This was taken with my wide-angle 17-40 F/4L lens.

hi gary
i've got a couple of shots that look like this, but using a 300mm lens, you must have been stood right next to the bird to get this close witha 17-40. very impressive capture, nice detail in the feathers. well done.

What a wonderful picture of a robin. It is a beautiful bird and one of my favourites. I just love their shape and colouring. You have a very clear and detailed shot here, thanks to your wide angle lens, you are very lucky to have been allowed to approach this closely and have him sit still enough for a shot. This is a real gem. Well done.

hello Gary,
Great shot of this little beauty. The crispness and coulours are perfect right down to the glint in the eye and fibers of the feathers. well done.
