[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today, May the 4th, it is "dodenherdenking" in the Netherlands. We remember those who have fallen in WOII and missions thereafter.
This gravestone of a unknown airman of WOII stands in a normal cemetery in the east of the Netherlands. Killed at the time of operation Market Garden which liberated almost half of Holland.
Liberation and liberty come at a high cost! The fallen should never be forgotten. Tonight there'll be a nationwide 2 minutes silence to remember and salute them.

Very good shot Edwin, symbolic, well composed. Beautiful colors in background. I like it...

Edwin,
Zeer gepaste foto en zeker ook erg mooi. Iets wat niet vergeten mag worden.
Groeten,
