Elm Hill in Norwich - Cobbled Delight
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
About three years after I completed high school in England at King Edward VI School in Norwich, I returned to my old stomping grounds in this fine old city.
This is a view of a famous cobbled street that has not changed much in over 400 years, probably even more.
The pink washed walls of the tudor style builidings (that's original Tudor, not that imitation tudor you see in modern construction today!) set a mood that is unique. It is a colour which springs up from this glum drizzly autumn weather and grabs your attention unshakingly...
I was with my fiancée, showing her the school, the cathedral and also my favourite coffee shop which still lies nestled on this ancient lane, on a hill in Norwich.
On all main roads that lead into Norwich, you will find big blue signs on the city limits with the following inscription: Welcome to Norwich, a fine city.
I couldn't agree more.
Photographically it was a 35mm camera I used back then, no filters, no flash, no nothing. Just found a print and scanned it, resized it. No pp work. A pink building and a lot of cobbles. |
