We saw the snow and the ice only for 2 days during this winter 2006-2007.
The wind and the melting snow combined composed nice icicles on the trees. |

hi aline

Welcome to TL Aline! Very beautiful and crisp shot here and beautiful lighting coming from the rear left. The frame very much suits the shot. I would recommend cropping the photo or moving it in a way as to get the branch to run diagonally through the photo instead of horizontally in, this would help with the composition. The berry at the right side is slightly out of focus, but you can maybe use the magic wand to select it and sharpen it a bit. I would also reduce the brighntess just a tad and then add a bit of contrast to give the photo more kick. Just my two cents. Excellent winter shot, thanks for sharing! I posted a workshop of the photo to show you what I mean in the critique. Hope you like it!

What a very nice shot to start on TL with.
Very good detail and sharpness, I can see the drop forming as the ice melts.
Agree with Lara about cropping, she has done a great workshop.
All the best

hello Aline and welcome,
this is a lovely first picture. I agree with Lara about a diagonal line of the branch but i prefer your picture to the workshop. I think the original is softer, more delicate.
keep posting,
Bev
Après le vin de glace, le cidre de glace voici le nectar de cerise de glace!
Belle capture et très bel encadrement.
Merci Aline pour le partage,

Bienvenue a Treklens!
I like the close up and composition very much. The soft colors and melting snow texture is beautiful. Quite poetic.
