This is another photo taken on my recent trip in the Netherlands.
This is the famous Delftse Hout(Delft Wood), a large wooded area just to the east of the beautiful historic town of Delft. It has many open areas, water canals, fields and woods. I hear there is also a small nudist beach!! In the early morning and late afternoon, it is filled with runners and cyclists, and even just the odd family taking the dog for a walk. It is a lovely place to spend some quiet time in...
I was on my hired bicycle, when I happened upon this long stretch of single lane road. I thought it might look quie nice as a photo, and snapped away.
I hope you like it! Let me know what you think. |

Hi Niel,
A nice simple shot that has nice sharpness and is a good example of the vanishing point where everything converges at a central point.

hello niel
i see you like very symmetrical shots, it works well for you here. the linear perspective really adds depths and your right, it really does seem quiet and peaceful

Hi Niel
Well, one cannot always believe that a simple lane of trees, can turn out so nice.
This is a great photo, and you managed to still get enough detail up to the point where everything meets in the distance.
Well done

Hi Neil. A very effective composition with our eye drawn to the far distance through good symmetry. Fine clarity and colours. TFS. Murray.
I love the texture, the focus and the perspective here. Great job!
