Hi Kedar, as an assistant teacher to younger children I was drawn to this shot immediately. I really love a couple of things about this: first the warm bright lighting filling up the room and coming a bit from behind, from those large windows, it creates a joyous and hopeful atmosphere that very much suits the subject and theme of the shot; I also love the low point of view, at-level with the boy, giving a sense of intimacy and seeing the relationship between Leroupe and the boy. I love her sincere and engaged look and smile, she looks like she's really enjoying watching this child learn and grow. The horizontal framing and cropping works to create a balance between Leroupe and the boy, although I would be a little careful about letting Leroupe's hair touch the top edge of the frame as that breaks the continuity of the shot and composition. Also, be careful with metering the backlighting situation you have here, because while Leroupe and the boy are properly exposed, the background is considerably overexposed and too bright, thus distracting from the main subjects. This is where a bit of post-processing can come in: you can select the outlines of Leroupe, the boy, and the desk they use with the magic wand or lasso tool (if you have Photoshop) and adjust the levels or brightness for those alone while leaving the background levels intact. One more thing, forgibe my nitpickiness, hehe: I sense some strange pixelation in the shot that is taking away from the quality of the photo overall. But really wonderful capture of such a mood and such a moment, you've done a great job of documentation or story-telling with this. Thanks for sharing!
