I love to watch people dancing the tango, for the unspoken intimacy, the closeness, the dedication, the grace and peacefulness that shows in many of the dancing couples.
At this event - earlier this month - the intermittent rain showers couldn't refrain the people shown to have a dance, and another one, and another one... It seemed that it drew them even closer, in a protective manner. How wonderful.
Taken at "Antwerpen danst op twee oevers" (Antwerp dances on two - river - banks). On one bank the accent was mainly on Tango-dancing, on the other Latin rhythms played. People could switch between the two by a free ferry-ride.

Hi Walter,
Your photo does indeed show us Belgium as it truly exists. Only in Belgium could the Tango be appreciated in a hooded sweatshirt and a sweater. ;-) Adam will be proud of you.
Too bad for the weather, but I'm happy for you and the people enjoying the event.
We are moving along with our plans for retirement and more time in Europe. But I must admit, looking forward to heavy clothing in August does not appeal to me. Here in Raleigh, I'm up for a bike ride in the morning- before it gets too hot. Oh well, it's either hot or cold- I'll have to choose. :-))

Heel mooi qua scherpte en kleur, Walter. Ook de korte velddiepte werkt mooi hier, het koppel komt mooi los van de achtergrond. Maar ik mis haar ellebogen wel, jammer dat je die hebt gemist.
