hi andy.
a good piece of journalistic shooting.
it is images like this that prove 'terra firma' is best.
luckily no one was injured or killed.

Whoops..... Nice sharp photojournalism Andy, but I can't really bear to see damage to any 'flying machine'.
Good scoop

Hi Andy,
Oh my gosh! Glad the pilot is ok. Interesting journalistic shot. Looks like he had a nice soft place to land.

Hiya Andy
Right place at the right time here then, good journalistic shot and reporting too for that matter, glad no one was seriously hurt and that heather clearly made a soft landing spot.
TFS regards Helen

Hi Andy, you were in the right place at the right time, he was not! He was lucky to get away so lightly, most heli accidents tend to be seriously damaging to one's health. TFS, Les

Nice piece of reportage - I was expecting this to be a follow on from your air festival pictures though ;-)
Personally I like the WS picture a little bit more because the composition seems a bit more dramatic.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Andy,
Very good POV for this one, shows graphically the Helis situation.
I wouldn't call it a crash, rather an 'arrival', after all he walked away ;).
Fixed wing, and glider pilots reckon the only reason helicopters fly, is they are so ugly the earth repels them :) Maybe this was a good looker?
I am amazed you were allowed so close.
Pete.
