[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
An experiment in panning, trying to capture my son as he throws himself through the air (don't worry, no child was hurt in taking this picture :-) )

Panning using the Sigma 50-500mm is definately a skill - it's a heavy lens and keeping it stable whilst moving it to track a subject definately builds up arm muscles.

PP work - crop, clone out distracting bright sky in top rh corner, resize, USM (60%)

superb action capture! I love the residual movement in the boy, the tongue stuck out in concentration and his position in the frame

hello Mark,
does your son's T shirt read Cute Academy? if so, he is definately are star pupil there. Don't tell him i think he's cute as he won't like it! boys nver do like to regarded as cute. Your panning has certainly brought out a sense of movement. But the best thing of all is his sticky out tongue...cute!!
