Hi folks,

This afternoon we went shopping in Alkmaar and as usual we passed this old house with an enormous backyard with this old "car" in it.
This time I brought my camera and decided to take a closer look at the vehicle.
As soon as I aproached the car the owner came out of the house asking me if I had any "car" knowledge...
Of course I don't, but I told him I did have some camera knowledge and that I'd love to shoot some pictures of this retired old lady.
He was just fine with that and he seemed kind of happy to be able to talk about this car, which he intends to restore.... some day....
I was happy with the opportunity to take some shots and I had some heavy PP-work in mind...

Here's the result of that PP-work.
Used some filters to give the image an old look and worked with some brushes.
I hope you like the result. I really meant for this image to look as old as the car is... from 1939.

Thanks for stopping by!
:-)
Anneke

Hoi Anneke,

Prima werk.
t.f.s.en groetjes,
Frieda.

Hiya Anne

I lookedvery very hard at this shot to see if I can find anything to give away the age of the caror the image. The only thingI thought was possibly the rope looks too new..however thats not part of the car so not relevent, A superb shot here really sharp detail and I love the angle too. Your PP work really is outstanding and I simply would not have guessed.

TFS regards Helen

Greetings Anneke, you did what you set out to do ,the results of your PP work indeed make this look like a scan of a 1930's postcard & not of an image you have recently taken.

I have an old Kodak camera that is as old as this car and its pictures look just like what you have accomplished in the heavy PP work. Really impressive and worth the effort.

Dan

The road to h.. is paved with good intentions -- judging by the plants growing all over that car there will not be any restoration work done any time soon Anneke.
Love the way you played with the filters - still remember that "old" picture of Hoorn I did see on TL - I was amazed at how you did that.

Whatever you did in PP sure has brought about the 'Old Tyme' effect to this antic car . The finishing appears as old to me as some old photo of my parents that we sift through on occasions and i get the idea even more when i notice the obvious cracks running in all directions . Well presented and the execution is excellent here and i go for the 1939 picture ! Bravo Anneke,
Greetings,
Carol
