Quick grab that photo!... well that was about how one took photos from the open topped double decker tourist bus in London, as we travelled along. Here I was trying to grab a shot of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.. at first I thought.."Rubbish shot" then I thought no, it adds to the flavour, as seen through the eyes of a tourist in London.

Have been sick all week with a nasty flu virus, so havent been up to doing much on TL.. just getting over it now.

Thanks for your visit.
Dawn

Sorry you've been sick, cuzzy - hope you get back to full fighting fitness very soon :-)

I think you are right, this does catch more of the flavour of being on a tourist trip - scrambling for the best view, all around you waving cameras and jostling - you've caught some of that nicely here, with a great landmark in the background. Nice posting.

I've been there!!
Yes, I like your added tourists to this very touristy image Dawn. Naturally framed?
Good capture, and the colours of the handrail and scarf add to it brilliantly.
I'll be round with some Chicken Soup for you soon - just gotta ring the chicken's neck! Paki, paki!
Cheers Awatea

Hi Dawn,
Hope you will feel better soon! Like this "Tourist" shot, quite funny and you still got a fine capture of the house of parliament, impressive isn't it? Fine posting my dear. Keep on posting these interesting impressions from Europe!

Hi Dawn,

I think it works out great this way - framed by tourists on both sides and that bright yellow add an extra splash of colour.

Good to hear you are recovering from that flu.

hi dawn, i love this type of snapshot, adding people taking snapshots is so effective, nice work with superb details i might add,
i took a snap of my 5 year old taking a picture of my wife and mom, i placed her off to the left bottom out of focus and my mom/wife in focus paying attention to composition, it was the coolset snap i had taken it really added a sense of being there (as does this one) and a good reminder of being there for me, anyways point is this is done with a photographers mind at work and presents itself so much better than a regular snap,
take care,
scott

Oh dear! I hope you feel better soon! That virus is going the rounds up here too -- I came down with it on Friday, but I still have to go to work :(

About the photo: I love the original PoV here -- it's something we see every day while we are trying to get the right shot ourselves :)
Great composition, with both photographers framing the scene

Hello Dawn, the framing by the two photographers makes this into an excellent shot imo.
The bright colours of the rails and the scarf catch the eye. Then we look through the gap to see the Houses of Parliament.
Good sharpness throughout.

Hope that you are now feeling better.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Been a fair bit of that flu around Dawn, on both sides of the ditch, get well soon. Super detail on Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament and good colour on the two in the foreground. A good quality tourist type snap.

I'm in admiration ! So clean ! A very nice shot to share.

Iso.

Hope your felling better Dawn!
Impressive clarity front to back on this image with is impressive. Composition - framing the Parliment with the tourists is a stroke of luck on a crowded bus.

Hi Dawn,

This is GREAT! I'll have to take some of tourists too. Really a fun shot. Too bad we can't see what is on their viewfinder....

This one made me grin because we've all been there (just didn't take the photo of tourist)

Lisa
