Flat Racing at Catterick Racecourse

A dark bay running for home at the Catterick race track in North Yorkshire.
I am so fortunate to be involved in the racing industry. Once racing gets into one’s blood, it never goes away, no matter what level of the involvement.
Such a thrill to watch these wonderful animals give it their all.

Going to the races is always the icing on the cake after many hours slugging it out in the rain and the cold in the yards and the barns. Winners such as these are always wildly cheered home.

I have huge job satisfaction in that it is my job to fix these horses if they have biomechanical problems and are not moving correctly.
That is when legs really come into play. As the horse walks back and forth over a hard surface, I listen and watch to hear the ‘clip clop' of the hoofs as part of my assessment of where the problem lies.

PP work
My little point and shoot is really not designed for long range action shots such as these. Wouldn’t it be fun to have camera equipment like Mario (EOSF1) with his 400 mm lens! Never mind, hand held on the barrier with the lens fully extended and hope for the best!
Crop,clone out a bit of an officials car, original, sharpen, resize , frame in CS2.
