This is a repost. I agreed with Frank Prufer's(frank) comment that the original was better than the cropped version I posted at first. I like having the calm foreground to set of the bublling water further back.

I used a fast shutter speed capture the water bubbling up in this fountain.

Hi Tom,
Hmmm...I see...I do remember looking at this before. But, I didn't comment anything. Funny, I remember seeing some shapes in the background that somewhat distracted from it. Did you do some pp work? If you did, and I wasn't hallucinating, it's better this way with the bubbling water really being the only forms you see. Nice frozen shot, by the way...you made the water look like crystals. And good compositioning, too...I do like this in contrast to the cropped one. Well done.

Yes I'm totally agree with Frank.

Hi Tom,
I cannot quite make up my mind here... I liked your first tight crop, but I see your point too! Maybe something in between will be the solution? Here I feel there is a bit too much blurry water in the front... But the capture is good anyway of course, cropping usually is a matter of personal taste

I also did a similar photo but it is in daytime and highlights the street as well as the water.
But yours is nice.
Good work
