Hello Karina,
oh I did not know you had such a big day coming up, that is wonderful news. I love the details and color of your wedding dress looks very romantic. You captured the special romantic mood in this shot, love the softness and warm colors.
Not to sure about the frame, it adds a harsh contrast I think, maybe a lighter frame would work better. I'll try one for the work shop.

Hello Karina.

Very best wishes for next month, we hope and know all will go well. Beautiful shot with very interesting DOF..love the colour used.

Agreed, the frame is not helping but hindering. I have the same problem that all too often we put a frame around a wonderful capture only to find a lot of negative/meaningful comments about it....where if it were frameless, we would only see the picture. As i said, i wish i could post a picture with no frame.

Love the capture.

I will answer your question to me about how I am knowing when the composition is right by directing you to look at your own postings. Since we started on this journey together a little while back (remember?) you have picked up the principles very quickly and applied them extremely well - even if by asking that question you are saying that you don't know yourself why a composition is good when you frame it up ... you know! You have acquired the eye for it and it is now coming to you automatically.
Here, we have a group of three. Perfect number.
The composition includes a shallow DOF and the sharpest of the three is exactly where it should be in the frame, in the 'golden zone'. Perfect again.
Talking of frames. You and I know full well what works and what doesn't. Be not deterred by those who have not seen the light. Usually, it is women who want to dress up an image with fancy coloured frames, which usually attract attention and detract from the most important element - the image contained. It is an understandable female trait but one that should be cast aside in favour of what is known to be THE only option for a PC display. We already KNOW why a frame is essential. No discussion.
Just because this is a wedding dress detail, there is this drive from the girls to make the frame soft and pretty too. No. Don't touch! Hands off!
Fabulous once again. Be very proud.

I like the way you composed the image. Great point of view. Narrow DOF worksvery well here. And my best wishes for the Big Day and all the days afterwards of course!

a lovely macro Karina :o)
is another shot of the entire wedding dress to be posted soon? or we should wait to see directly the wedding shots?
as to the big day ... well unfortunately i won't be able to make it for the 11th June but i will most probably be in Cyprus in the begging of July. i'll let you know.
my best wishes though i'm sure i'll stop by your shots again before the big day ;o)
take care
ili :o)

Good luck,Karina

nice composition here Karina :) perfect depth
i like the soft simple colors

thanks for bringing us the wonderful news :)
it would be really cool if all TL members show up at your wedding with their cameras and post the same photos the next day :P

Hi, Karina! This is an area where I disagree strongly with Kit. I understand (and agree with) his usual logic, but sometimes the black is just too heavy for the subject, or it encloses it too much - causes our eye to come to a dead halt, when it should keep dreaming. :) He says that it's a "female" thing, and maybe we do have more sensitivity to the "feeling" of a photo. But, isn't that a good thing??? ;)

I say, go with your instincts. Sometimes it will be a bad decision, but I think you'll usually be happy...yours seem to be quite good! :)

Anyway, the photo is so nice, especially knowing that it's your wedding dress...very sweet and feminine, and I'll bet you'll be beautiful in it. :)

Try an off-white frame here. It will be a whole new image! We won't tell Kit. He's SO hard-headed about this topic. ;)

Gayle :)))

Hello Karina,
Beautiful dress, beautiful photo. Congratulations and best wishes for your wedding!
Sorry, I have to agree with the general concensus -don't agree with the dark frame.
Kind regards,
Patricia.

Hi Karina, I'd love to come, but... sorry I'm busy that day:)))

Your gown looks like it is going to be beautiful. What stunning colours and the details here of the roses are beautiful.

The frame makes me think that it is a small window we are looking through and we are only allowed to see this tiny glimpse of the dress. Which is right - we can't see any more until the BIG day.

I look forward to see the complete you all dressed up after the 11 June.

Thank you for sharing this with us,
Janice

Hi Karina,

What can I say, Just best wishes and good luck. To your lucky man....congratulation. Hope for the best outcome in your wedding. Just have fan and enjoy it. Always Smile :-)

Nice pic anyway. Nice POV.

Regards,
Jomari

Hi Karina,
excellent composition, love the detail chosen, love the colors in your wedding dress, I am thrilled for you for the incoming event!!
I too, would only change frame. Feel the need for a more delicate touch, I'm just feeling romantic I guess! :)
I am posting a WS with a different frame, hope you don't mind.
Thank you for sharing and best wishes for your wedding day!
Martina

A very beautiful photo Karina....and I do wish you all the happiness for your married life...just with this little glimpse.. we know your dress is beautiful..thank you for sharing it with us...
The frame.. yes we all know Kit like the black frame.. and I do to.. but on some occassions a white one works very well.. here I think either will work... as Jancie mentioned it looks like a window that we are looking through.. and just getting a peep.. so that works well.. I must check your workshop to see what sky has done.. just noticed a workshop there..

All the best
Regards
Dawn.
p.s. back to say.. I really like Skys workshop... that frame colour works very well..
