[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
this is the first post from a series of photos i took in kish island in the persian gulf, last month. i will be posting them gradually among other photos. this one is one of my favorite spots for a visit and i recommend it to anyone who may one day visit kish island. it is called the under ground city of kariz. it is not really a city but a vast network of tunnels, about 14 meters under ground. the guide told us a lot about how old the original water cannals are (million of years)and when and how they were rebuilt but i dont remember them all and also a photography site may not the best place for historical information.i have selected a couple more from the interior of the tunnels which i will post later on. of course a humble little photo does not show how magnificant the monument really is, but its a weak try to share interesting places with my friend all around the globe. i hope you like it :)

This is truly stunning, Hamed -- and rates among your very best shots with excellent notes.
I would indeed like very much to visit this place now that you have told me about it.
Super POV, dof, and colours

Interesting shot - to me it looks like some scenes in Starwars may have been inspired by this structure!

This is the place I was before in 2005. I miss the place.
Beautiful composition with nice colors.

What a beautiful place! I really like the POV used here, which gives one a sense of the "city's" underground nature as well as the size and grandeur of it. Very good diffused lighting used. Only thing I might change is lessen the brightness a bit at the top above the stone wall. But it's a great shot. I hope to visit Kariz one day. Thanks for sharing!
