Hi Mitra,
This is avery beautiful flower with great colors. I like this contrast of red & green and the transition from the lighted foreground to the very dark background. This is very nice.

I agree with the workshop, it eliminates the dead space above the flower. Maybe making it vertical would work even better with the flower looking in the right corner. Just a thought ... nicely done otherwise.
