[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
•-About The Location:
Our capital "Tehran" is thought to be one of the most polluted cities in the world. There are about 200 days a year when the city is trapped in a pall of smog! More than 70% of Tehran's air pollution comes from motor vehicles, many of which are old and not able to use unleaded fuel.
● Pollutants are emitted by over 2 million vehicles!
● Cars account for 71% of pollution in Tehran
● 37% of the country's industrial units are within the city!
● Pollution reaches more than six-times acceptable levels in 2000!

During winter we have an inversion phenomenon, it means that the polluted air goes to upper part of city despite of much ground height we have at North.

On Dec 6, 2006 we had an Inversion and I was at Shemiran, Zaferaniyeh Street.
So from the top of Tehran I could see this phenomenon better than others.

•-Motivation:
Tehran critical situation on Air Pollution issue made me to take some pictures at one of most polluted days. May God help us to overcome to this tragic problem.
Dry stems of tree, lonely bird on sky and numerous buildings were my main elements on this picture.

•-P.P. Job
I just made Auto Curve and Auto Contrast in Photoshop CS2, then added a frame.

Hi Dear Javad
Actually, you have showed this terrible smog very well. I like the cadre because it is multi layer .
As always your note is perfect .

Hi Javad,
Interesting picture and note. It would maybe be easier to overcome pollution by respecting Kyoto's protocole, don't you think so? Have a sound day!

very nice picture

Hello, nice to see you again!!
It is a real shame to have to live with all that smog.
Maybe some day this could be stop in concious.
I like the picture of the city,i like the perspective but not the subject,i understand that you wanted people to see this reality of the world.Colors are great in that scale, black, blue, light blue, etc, very very good.
Good for you!! we have to be part of the salvation of all this soil.
Congratullations :)
