This is one of the very long roads we took to get from Kuwait to Baghdad, Iraq. I took this one while I was driving which made it a little difficult. This place was so strange as there were people out in the desert 20 miles from the nearest town. As you can see..there is a man pushing a bicycle along the side of the road. Due to the very dull colors in the picture, there was no point keeping it in color so I just converted it to black and white. Hopefully the Iraqi people will be able to fully defend themselves soon so we will be able to come home. Hope you enjoy the picture!

I'm just impress to see the contrast... Powerful mechanics in quantity against a simple bike.
I know it's not the case here, but i mean it's a good symbolic for wars. There is no great winner in the end.
The effect of dust bring a good effect! I agree for the B&W. It would be a good thing to see it in colors too in the Workshop. Boring color perhaps... But compo all in the same tone please me often.

Hi Philip,
It's a nice shot that talks about a man pushing a bicycle and military cars which don't know where to go and when it will end; the man, alone in the desert, is not lost : he knows the end of the road...

Good documentary shot. My anti-this-war feelings aside, I like the composition of the column veering right in the distance, and that lone biker standing by. Good choice of BW is obvious.

Very good documentary photo and a mood photo! Good contrast of the staying man against the moving vehicles; he looks how time elapses. He is out of time; time doesn’t change him.

Hi Philip
Stunning photo.Composition is great.Like the B&W. And the contrast between the trucks and a simple bike is just stunning.
Well done

Nice composition. TFS. K2

Excellent POV with the road curving through the center. I really like the grainy effect and the contrast between mechanized and human powered vehicles.

Excellent documentary style photo. In all honesty I don't really support our current president but I support our guys in uniform 100%. You guys are doing one heck of a job. Thanks!

Best regards,

Rob
