This is a girl and her mom sitting at the store where soldiers visit all the time. The mother was helping her daughter sell candy bars to the soldiers as they left the store.

Beautiful and touching daily life scene you have posted here Phil. The child seems to be very interested in the item she is holding while the mother appears to be tired or maybe worried.

Please continue to post. I know that some of us do want to see the images you share from your location!

Stay safe and God bless!

This is nice. Not very sharp, but the composition, and the message makes it a great shot. Well done, Phil!

Ps: I think the interest is still there, but if you give less comments on others' pictures less will be notified on your works, that you posted something new. But myself, I am interested in them, because you inform us about nowadays probably the most critical situation on Earth.

Nice scene. Perhaps the mother just doesn't want her face shown; although with a little girl like that I expect she is extremely worried as well. The little girl provides a nice splash of colour against her Mother's black.

I really like the interaction here. Good color. This is a great tender moment.

Good daily life shot from Iraq, I'm waiting for next
Stay safe :)

The long occupasion of US Forces has made Iraqi people so destitute?

Is this not the age when this little girl should have enjoyed candies herself instead of selling to earn food for her family?

Thanks for sharing the situation of poverty in Iraq. During Sadam Hussein´s regime, people of Iraq were poor but NOT under attack. Thanks to US wisdom, Iraqis are under attack in addition.

Hi Philip,
i thank to God that Turkey has no petrol :))

WITHOUT POSSIBLE WORD!!! :(

After WW2, the americans came to Belgium, where I live. In those days it were the soldiers that gave candy to the people.
